Kielbasa One Pot Dinner

  1. 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  2. ½ teaspoon of diced garlic
  3. 8 ounces of cooked Mad Mike’s Hungarian Kielbasa
  4. ½ cup of sweet white wine, preferably a German style Riesling
  5. ¼ cup water
  6. 3-4 medium sized red potatoes rinsed, not peeled, and then diced into ½ inch cubes approx. 12 oz
  7. 16 oz rinsed and drained sauerkraut
  8. 3 medium red delicious apples cored and diced into ½ inch cubes
  9. 2 cups of shredded carrot
  10. Small crusty rolls plain or toasted and served with sweet butter (as many as you desire)
  11. Mad Mike’s Stone Ground Mustard
  1. Heat the oil and chopped garlic in a 14 inch frying pan over medium heat for a minute, then add Hungarian Kielbasa and sauté till sausage is lightly browned. Stir or turn sausage occasionally. Add potatoes, carrots, apples, sauerkraut, water and wine to browned sausage. Heat to boiling, reduce heat, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes. Potatoes should be fork tender. Serve in bowls with a side of crusty rolls with sweet butter and a side of Mad Mike’s Stone Ground Mustard. You can also pair this meal with a cheese and fruit tray and of course it is delicious with a glass of German style beer or wine.
